Elvin Richard Bishop (born October 21, 1942) is an American blues and rock music singer, guitarist, bandleader, and songwriter. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 2015, and in the Blues Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 2016.
This is Stephen Miller, who most Southern Rock fans will know as the keyboard player/singer who joined Grinderswitch for their 'Pullin' Together' album (their third). Before that, Stephen played as 'Steve' on early records of Elvin Bishop.

16 de mar. de 2024 · Elvin Bishop was first sighted in San Francisco in May 1968, initially at a Steve Miller Band show (at the Carousel Ballroom on May 11) and at a Grateful Dead sponsored Tuesday night jam session (at the Carousel on May 21).
Although Bishop remained the central figure and was the biggest draw, he often turned the spotlight over to vocalists Jo Baker and Perry Welsh, as well as keyboard player Stephen Miller, the other primary soloist in the group.

Also of particular note is keyboardist, Stephen Miller (not to be confused with Steve Miller), an incredibly talented musician who was also a ubiquitous presence on the San Francisco jam scene. This four-night run at San Francisco's intimate Keystone Korner was recorded with intentions of assembling a live album for the Elvin Bishop Group.
