Monsieur Danglard contrata a Nini, una chica que trabaja en una lavandería, y a otras atractivas jóvenes para que se unan a su compañía de teatro. Danglard tiene previsto abrir un cabaret en París, el Moulin Rouge, donde la gran atracción será el cancán.
