Jocelyn Lorette Brown (born November 25, 1950), sometimes credited as Jocelyn Shaw, is an American R&B and dance singer. [1] [2] Although she has only one Billboard Hot 100 chart entry solely in her name, [3] she has an extensive background in the music industry and is well known in the world of dance music.

Jocelyn came from a family where her Grandmother, Mother, two aunts and a cousin all sang, but it was her aunt Barbara Roy, who sang with female vocal group EPP that inspired her to sing seriously.
Jocelyn Brown's voice can be heard on many of the greatest records of the Disco era. She is the voice of classic groups like Musique , Inner Life , Change and many MANY others. Unfortunately we haven't got to hear that many releases under her own name, but no one can have missed her 1984 classic "Somebody else's guy" .
