Gebhard of Supplinburg (or Süpplingenburg; died 9 June 1075) was a Saxon count in the Eastphalian Harzgau and Nordthüringgau. He was the father of Emperor Lothair II. Life. Gebhard was the son of Count Bernhard of Supplinburg (d. about 1069) and his wife Ida of Querfurt, a niece of Saint Bruno of Querfurt.
Lothair III, sometimes numbered Lothair II and also known as Lothair of Supplinburg (1075 – 4 December 1137), was Holy Roman Emperor from 1133 until his death. He was appointed Duke of Saxony in 1106 and elected King of Germany in 1125 before being crowned emperor in Rome.

28 de may. de 2024 · Lothar, the son of Gebhard, count of Supplinburg, was born a few days before his father was killed in battle on June 9, 1075. He succeeded to extensive lands around Helmstedt, in Saxony, and in 1088 became involved in an uprising against the Holy Roman emperor Henry IV.

Hedwig's first husband was Gebhard of Supplinburg. According to the Sächsische Weltchronik, Gebhard had to overcome the resistance of his rivals, the counts of Goseck, relatives of Archbishop Adalbert of Bremen, who tried to have the marriage annulled.
