Lord James Beauclerk (c. 1709 – 20 October 1787) was an Anglican clergyman who served as the Bishop of Hereford from 1746 to 1787.
Hace 2 días · His brothers were politician Lord Vere Beauclerk and James Beauclerk, bishop of Hereford. Charles Beauclerk, 2nd Duke of St Albans. He was born on 6th April 1696 and succeeded his father Charles as Duke. He was governor of Windsor Castle, Lord Warden of the Forests, and Master Falconer of England among other offices.
At the same time his brother was showered with titles, James was, rather strangely, not granted a peerage but given the precedence of the eldest son of an earl and styled as Lord James Beauclerk.
