Bert Berns. T.B. Sheets is a retrospective album of recordings made in 1967 by Northern Irish musician Van Morrison, released in 1973 on Bang Records. It contains songs that had appeared on Morrison's debut album, Blowin' Your Mind!, including his first hit, "Brown Eyed Girl".

The backing band, assembled by Berns, is also surprisingly solid for an ad-hoc outfit: Eric Gale, Hugh McCracken, Paul Griffin, The Sweet Inspirations. With some rolling thunder behind him, Morrison is rarely less than electric, whether he’s resurrecting the past (“Who Drove The Red Sports Car?”) or burying it (“T.B. Sheets”).
The Sweet Inspirations are an American R&B girl group mostly known for their work as backup singers on studio recordings for other R&B and rock artists. A founding member of the group was Dionne Warwick, who was later replaced by her aunt, Cissy Houston . History.

I was dead wrong. This song is surely one of his most inspirational tunes (and based on a true story of course). It brings all the great Morrison mannerisms and expressions along with a great groove. Astral Weeks aside, T.B Sheets belongs in the #1 position for any Van Morrison greatest hits compilation.
