Dorothy (c.1611-91) and Elizabeth (1612-65 or later) were the second and third of six daughters born to Thomas, Viscount Savage (c. 1586- 1635), and Elizabeth Darcy, Countess Rivers (c. 1 584-1651). Savage served as chancellor and counsellor to Queen Henrietta Maria, to whom his wife was, from 1626, lady-in-waiting. The couple also had seven sons.
