SAN FRANCISCO BALLET SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS. SF Ballet seeks to share the joy of dance with the broadest audience possible through our ballet training programs, adult classes, and dance education community partnerships.
We offer weekly ballet classes for young dancers (ages 3–13), taught by our school faculty. Come experience summer at San Francisco Ballet School in one or both of two sessions: June 10 – July 6 and July 8 – August 3.
Our adult ballet summer workshop is in full swing, this year we’re welcoming 45 adults from the US, Australia, France, Mexico & Canada into our studios fo technique and rep classes taught by our acclaimed faculty with live piano accompaniment.

San Francisco Ballet School was founded in 1933 as part of the San Francisco Operatic and Ballet School when Gaetano Merola, the founder of the San Francisco Opera, perceived a need for an institution where dancers could be trained to perform in opera productions.
