Sharon Oreck is an American film, music video and commercial producer. She has Oscar and Grammy nominations in addition to other awards. She is credited with coining the term populence. Oreck has been married to cinematographer Bill Pope since the 1980s.
Film, music video, and TV commercial producer Sharon Oreck was born in 1955. She graduated from Miraleste High School in Rancho Palos Verdes, California in 1974 and was a Cinema Student at Los Angeles City College. Sharon started working in low-budget genre movies in the mid 70s.

Sharon Oreck, an established female producer, founded O Pictures Inc. in 1986. Over the years Oreck has been recognized for many awards including an Academy Award nomination in 1985. the Women in Film Award in 1989 and 1991, and the Grammy Award in 1991 for the music video Opposites Attract.
