10 de nov. de 2021 · On Docabilly, released in 1995, Watson covers Boudleaux Bryant’s “Bird Dog,” made famous by The Everly Brothers and resurrected for this collection. Watson brings in Marty Stuart on mandolin and Mike Auldridge on lap steel to beef up this breakneck bluegrass version.
He is known for his combination of rockabilly, country rock, and bluegrass music influences, his frequent collaborations and cover songs, and his distinctive stage dress. His greatest commercial success came in the first half of the 1990s on MCA Records Nashville.
