Holt, Culley (2 July 1925-28 June 1980) Bass singer from McAlester, Oklahoma, who was one of the original members of The Jordanaires. They did a number of gospel recordings in the late ‘40s and early ‘50s before famously hooking up with Elvis Presley.

I really like J&J! Benny Martin not only could play, but he had a sense of the camera. Note the casual and effective choreography, singing under a big overhead boom mic. Culley Holt also sang bass on some Flatt & Scruggs and Bill Monroe recordings.
