Dee Carstensen’s debut recording, BELOVED ONE (Exit Nine), features the distinctive guitarwork of Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler. Well-received by both music fans and critics, it attracted indie film producers who hired Dee for soundtrack work, most notably for the sci-fi tv show, “VR-5.”

Knopfler tells the story of that first guitar and five others that shaped his career in this fascinating 45-minute documentary that aired in Britain last October on the Sky Arts television channel. Guitar Stories: Mark Knopfler is hosted by Knopfler’s friend and co-founder of Dire Straits, bassist John Illsley.
