Sangeet Kalpataru (literal meaning: "Wish fulfilling tree of music".) is a Bengali language song anthology edited and compiled by Swami Vivekananda (as Narendranath Datta) and Vaishnav Charan Basak. The book was first published in August or September 1887 from Arya Pustakalaya, Calcutta.

In this documentary, the most prominent Pakhawaj compositions from Sangeet Kalpataru have been played in Pakhawaj by Shri Nishaant Singh and the same compositions have been played flawlessly on Sarod in Raag Baageshri by Shri Dipankar Chaudhuri. The concept is known as TAAR PARAN.

Among the earliest rules laid down by Swami Vivekananda for them was, "Due respect and reverence should be paid to all religions, all preachers, and to the deities worshiped in all religions."
