The New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development (commonly referred to as NYU Steinhardt) is the education school of New York University. The school was founded as the School of Pedagogy in 1890. Prior to 2001, it was known as the NYU School of Education.
Founded in 1890 as the first school of pedagogy in the US, today NYU Steinhardt advances the education, health, and well-being of people and communities around the world. We achieve this by fostering knowledge, creativity, and innovation at the crossroads of culture, education, and human development.
