As a reward for his perfection as a valet, Oliver receives from Mr. Van Warner, his employer, a month's paid vacation, a complete wardrobe, and an admonition to enjoy himself as a gentleman. Before Oliver leaves, however, Warner asks him to call on his friend Colonel Breen at the Gotham Club.
