For Hoover fellow Paul Gregory, then a 21-year-old college student at the University of Oklahoma, the day became particularly memorable – life-changing, even – when he saw television news footage of Kennedy’s killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, being escorted into police headquarters. “I know that guy,” he said to himself, confused and in disbelief.
Paul Roderick Gregory (born 10 February 1941 in San Angelo, Texas) is a professor of economics at the University of Houston, Texas, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and a research fellow at the German Institute for Economic Research. He has written about Russia and the Soviet Union.
Mentored by Sir Laurence Olivier with The National Theatre at the Old Vic, Paul is best known for his role in Henry V where he shared the screen with Sir Kenneth Branagh. Recently has guest starred in episodes of The Romanoffs, Get Shorty and NCIS.
