Constantijn Huygens Jr., Lord of Zuilichem (10 March 1628 – October 1697), was a Dutch statesman and poet, mostly known for his work on scientific instruments (sometimes together with his younger brother Christiaan Huygens). But, he was also a chronicler of his times, revealing the importance of gossip.

Hij is tevens bekend vanwege zijn werk aan wetenschappelijke instrumenten en als kroniekschrijver van zijn tijd. Biografie. Hij was de oudste zoon van de dichter en staatsman Constantijn Huygens en Suzanna van Baerle. [1] .
In 1680, Constantijn Jr. moved with his family out of the house of his father. To stop the gossiping which started shortly afterwards, Huygens wrote the poem Cluijs-werck, in which he shows a glimpse of the latter stages of his life. La pareja tuvo cinco hijos: en 1628 su primer hijo, Constantijn Jr., en 1629 Christiaan, en 1631 Lodewijk y en 1633 Philips. En 1637 nació su hija Suzanna; poco después de su nacimiento, su madre murió. La educación de sus hijos y el nuevo Príncipe real. En 1645, sus hijos Constantijn Jr. y Christiaan comenzaron sus estudios en Leiden.
Constantijn Huygens ( Den Haag, 4 september 1596 – aldaar, 28 maart 1687) was een Nederlandse dichter, diplomaat, geleerde, componist, architect en polyglot . Huygens staat bekend als een van de grootste dichters uit de Gouden Eeuw. Hij was tevens secretaris van twee prinsen van Oranje: Frederik Hendrik en Willem II. [1] .
Constantijn Huygens (/kɔnstɑn'tɛin 'hœyxəns/) (La Haya, 4 de septiembre de 1596–ibídem, 28 de marzo de 1687) fue uno de los principales poetas clásicos del Siglo de oro neerlandés. Era el segundo hijo de Christiaan Huygens, secretario del Consejo de Estado, [ 1 ] y Susanna Hoefnagel, sobrina del pintor de Amberes Joris Hoefnagel .
