Circle in the Round is a 1979 compilation album by jazz musician Miles Davis. It compiled outtakes from sessions across fifteen years of Davis's career that, with one exception, had been previously unreleased. All of its tracks have since been made available on album reissues and box sets.
Red Garland. Position: Piano. Year of Birth: 1923. Years with Miles: 1955-1958. A blues-based player known for his encyclopedic knowledge of melodies and "locked-hands" technique, key member of Miles first great quintet in the mid-1950s.

The best song on the first disk, and somewhat progressive sounding, due to it's chomatic theme and 12/8 time signature, is the title track, "Circle In The Round".
