Established in 1924 and nestled in the heart of Newtownards, Co Down, we are one of Northern Ireland's largest co-educational grammar schools. With a commitment to inclusivity, respect, and support, our school community thrives on challenging each individual to aspire to excellence.
Regent House School is a co-educational, controlled grammar school in Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland. It comprises two parts: the preparatory department, known as "the Prep", and the main school itself. It has over 1420 pupils from ages 4 to 18.
At Regent House, we provide a stimulating, safe, and supportive environment that encourages every child to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. We are dedicated to fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.
The following year the school moved into Regent House, changing its name to Regent House School. Between 1924 and 1962, the school grew in size from 155 to 842 pupils. The imposing Regency mansion in Regent Street. The current site on Circular Road.
