Thomas Audley, 1st Baron Audley of Walden KG, PC, KS, JP ( c. 1488 – 30 April 1544), was an English barrister and judge who served as Lord Chancellor of England from 1533 to 1544.

When Thomas Audley 1st Baron Audley of Walden was born in 1488, in Earls Colne, Essex, England, his father, Sir Geoffrey Audley, was 35 and his mother, Martha Wydeville, was 35. He married Christina Barnardiston before 1520.
In 1537 he condemned to death as traitors the Lincolnshire and the Yorkshire rebels. Sir Thomas Audley played a major role in dissolving the larger religious houses. On 29 Nov 1538 he was created Baron Audley of Walden and received the recently closed abbey at Audley End.
