Igor Zelensky. Igor Anatolyevich Zelensky [a] ( Russian: Игорь Анатольевич Зеленский; born 13 July 1969) is a Russian ballet dancer . Early life. Zelensky was born on 13 July 1969, in Labinsk, Krasnodar Krai, Russian SFSR. He was a principal at the Mariinsky Ballet from 1991 until 2013.
biographies. Ballet Director Igor Zelensky studied at the Tbilisi Ballet Art State School, where he was a student of the legendary Vakhtang Chabukiani amongst others. He graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg. He made his Mariinsky Theater.

The Bayerisches Staatsballett was founded as an independent department of the Bayerische Staatsoper at the instigation of Konstanze Vernon in the 1990-91 season. After her directorship, Ivan Liška took over as director of the company from 1998 to 2016. In August 2016, he was succeeded by Igor Zelensky, who led the company until April 2022.
