  1. Conceived in 1909 by the Indiana Knights of Columbus, and named for Fr. Pierre Gibault, the Gibault School for Boys was dedicated on October 9, 1921, in Terre Haute, Indiana as a "home for wayward boys". The first director of the school was Rev. Michael Gorman.

  5. From the original Smith Mansion, Gibault has grown to become a beautiful 360-acre campus. Gibault has expanded services from treating only “wayward boys” to providing a variety of residential and community-based treatment services to all genders, children, families, and members of the community.
