This culminated in a regular feature called The Nod Corner, which purported to be written by Nephilim drummer Nod Wright and which took a satirical view on the band's baleful and dramatic image, usually portraying McCoy as a prima donna who exploited and bullied Nod.
Last Rites are an English goth - industrial band formed by the Wright brothers of Fields of the Nephilim and Rubicon, Alexander "Nod" Wright and Paul Wright, with Bob Ahern and James Quinn. After releasing two albums with Rubicon, What Starts, Ends, and Room 101, the Wright brothers felt it was time to move on.

22 de may. de 2020 · A rhythmic beat accompanied by McCoy’s mournful vocals kick things off – but then, at the four-minute mark, Nod Wright’s drumming really moves up a gear and helps push the track to new heights. The band would later drop the opening section for their live shows and even revisit it on One More Nightmare – an much heavier version with added effects.
18 de abr. de 2012 · Melody Maker featured a long-running weekly humour piece, ‘Nod’s Corner’, in which drummer Alexander ‘Nod’ Wright was portrayed as the good-humoured if none-too-bright butt of Carl McCoy’s increasingly pretentious demands and practical jokes by the rest of the band. At least, however, it kept them in the public eye.
