Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods - Final Cut is a special-release DVD, re-releasing the Stargate SG-1 television pilot, "Children of the Gods". The film was edited; given sharper and clearer imaging, re-scoring the music, and new and trimmed scenes, including the removal of the controversial scene showing full-frontal nudity.

A new version of the episode (Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods - Final Cut) was released on DVD (July 21, 2009), re-edited using footage shot in 1997 as well as updated visual effects. The beginning has been slightly altered, a new scene has been added, and the nude scenes in the original Director's Cut have been cut out.
Children of the Gods - Final Cut is a special re-release cut of the pilot of the first episode of Season 1 of Stargate SG-1.
On March 26, 2018, Dragon's Domain Records released Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods - The Final Cut - Original Soundtrack by Joel Goldsmith. Goldsmith, who passed away in 2012, had first discussed releasing the score from "Children of the Gods" when the Final Cut was released in 2009.
20 de jul. de 2009 · Final Cut is a much better movie. The episode and its story are very much the same, so the nostalgia factor has not been paved over with a new super-highway. No, this is still the “Children of the Gods” that we know and love — but now it is better.
