Frederick Augustus II (German: Friedrich August II.; 18 May 1797 in Dresden – 9 August 1854 in Brennbüchel, Karrösten, Tyrol) was King of Saxony and a member of the House of Wettin.

Biographie. Als besonderen Erfolg seiner Politik sah Friedrich August I. seine Vereinbarung mit Papst Clemens XI. an, als er diesem 1709 den Übertritt seines Sohnes zum Katholizismus versprach.
Augustus II the Strong (12 May 1670 – 1 February 1733), was Elector of Saxony from 1694 as well as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1697 to 1706 and from 1709 until his death in 1733.
