Lady Eleanor Beaufort, Countess of Ormond and Wiltshire (1431 – 16 August 1501) was the daughter of Edmund Beaufort, 2nd Duke of Somerset (1406-1455), KG, and was a sister of the 3rd and 4th Dukes of Somerset.

Hace 3 días · Edmund Beaufort was the second son of Edmund Beaufort, 2nd Duke of Somerset and his wife, Eleanor Beauchamp. In 1470, the exiled Lancastrian Queen Margaret of Anjou was reconciled with her erstwhile enemy Warwick the Kingmaker, who had been alienated by Edward IV's policies and his marriage to the commoner Elizabeth Woodville.
When Eleanor Beaufort was born in 1432, in London, England, United Kingdom, her father, Edmund Beaufort, was 26 and her mother, Eleanor Beauchamp, was 25. She married James Butler 5th Earl of Ormond about 1458. She died on 16 August 1501, in Devon, England, at the age of 69.
