4 de feb. de 2008 · John Baldry made his first major breakthrough with Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, which included Charlie Watts and Mick Jagger. With that group he played the Ealing Jazz and Marquee clubs and in 1962 released the first British electric blues album, R&B from the Marquee (ACL 1130 Decca).
The well-known British blues singer Long John Baldry joins the group to sing three of the titles on this record – the remainder of the vocal honours going to Cyril Davies. The numbers on this record are only a small part of the very large repertoire which the group has assembled.

7 de ene. de 2024 · Back home that November, two significant developments took place in Long John’s absence: Decca’s Ace of Clubs label released a Blues Incorporated album on which he sang, called R&B From The Marquee. Secondly, the five year partnership between Alexis Korner and Cyril Davies ended.
