Hans Georg von Mackensen (26 January 1883 – 28 September 1947) was a German diplomat who served at different stages as "State Secretary" at the Foreign Ministry, German ambassador in Rome and a SS senior Group Leader ("Gruppenführer").

August von Mackensen was one of the most famous and successful German commanders during the First World War. He was engaged on the Eastern Front and campaigned in Russian Poland, Serbia and Romania.
Diplomatico tedesco (Berlino 1883 - Costanza 1947), figlio di August; entrò in diplomazia nel 1919; fu ministro plenipotenziario a Budapest (1933), segretario di stato agli Esteri (1937-38); poi, fino alla caduta del fascismo, ambasciatore in Italia.
