Virgil Gonsalves. Herbie Rich. The Buddy Miles Express was a musical group fronted by American drummer/vocalist Buddy Miles. It was formed after the 1968 breakup of Miles's earlier group Electric Flag. They released four albums.

George Allen " Buddy " Miles Jr. (September 5, 1947 – February 26, 2008) was an American composer, drummer, guitarist, vocalist and producer. He was a founding member of the Electric Flag (1967), a member of Jimi Hendrix 's Band of Gypsys (1969–1970), founder and leader of the Buddy Miles Express and later, the Buddy Miles Band.
Bloomfield invited Miles to join up, and the band Electric Flag made its debut at the Monterey Pop Festival with Buddy singing with Jimi Hendrix; Bloomfield left in 1968 followed by the bass player.With the Electric Flag's horn section in tow, Miles split to form his own group, the similarly eclectic Buddy Miles Express.
