Voodoo Soup was Douglas' attempt at presenting Hendrix's planned fourth studio album. The first attempt in 1971, The Cry of Love, produced by drummer Mitch Mitchell and Eddie Kramer (with a credit to Hendrix), was then out of print (last released on CD in 1992; re-released in 2014).

28 de abr. de 2008 · In his book, Mitch Mitchell says that there was also a version of Ezy Ryder with his drum track. On the remixed version on Voodoo Soup it is Buddy Miles' original drum track, so it might well be that Kramer did safety copies after all.

John Graham "Mitch" Mitchell (9 July 1946 – 12 November 2008) [1] [2] was an English drummer and child actor, who was best known for his work in the Jimi Hendrix Experience for which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992. [3] He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2009. [4]
