Bonnie Pointer. American R&B and disco singer. Born: 11 July 1950 in Oakland, California, USA. Died: 8 June 2020 in Los Angeles, California, USA (aged 69). Married to Jeffrey Bowen ( Motown producer) between 1978 and 2016 (separated 2004).

Comenzó su carrera junto a sus hermanas en el grupo The Pointer Sisters a principios de los 70. En 1978 emprendió su carrera en solitario firmando con Motown. Ese mismo año se casó con el productor Jeffrey Bowen. En esta discográfica lanzó dos álbumes y numerosas versiones de los primeros éxitos de Motown.
Bonnie Pointer had a moderately successful solo career, though it never reached the heights of the Pointer Sisters, the group she left for a solo career. Pointer released three solo albums, two self-titled albums for Motown and one album on Private I Records, before retiring from the studio.
