William Stanley, 3rd Baron Monteagle (1528 – 10 November 1581), of Hornby Castle, Lancashire, was an English politician. He was the son of Thomas Stanley, 2nd Baron Monteagle and Lady Mary Brandon, the daughter of Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk, by his second wife, Anne Browne.
When William Stanley 3rd Baron Monteagle was born in 1528, in Hornby Castle, Lancashire, England, his father, Sir Thomas Stanley 2nd Baron Mounteagle, was 21 and his mother, Lady Mary Brandon, was 18. He married Anne Leybourne about 1556.

William Stanley, 3rd Lord Monteagle (d. 1581) was the son of Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Lord Monteagle and Lady Mary Brandon. He m. (1), Anne Leybourne, daughter of Sir James Leyburne and (2) Anne Spencer, daughter of Sir John Spencer and Katherine Kitson, circa 15 September 1575.
