In the 1970s, Bramhall formed The Nightcrawlers with Marc Benno, which also included Jimmie Vaughan's younger brother Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar. While in The Nightcrawlers, Bramhall co-wrote the tune "Dirty Pool," which appeared on Stevie Ray Vaughan's debut album, Texas Flood.
13 de nov. de 2011 · Bramhall released his first solo album, Bird Nest On the Ground, a stirring mix of originals and jaw-dropping covers such as Elvis Presley’s “ (Marie’s The Name) His Latest Flame,” in 1994. Bramhall was also a key cog in the blues renaissance that took place in Austin in the mid-70s.

He is often regarded as one of the greatest guitarists and blues musicians of all time. During his career, he released four studio albums, one live album, and several singles.
