Conocidos con el nombre artístico de Laurel & Hardy en Estados Unidos y como El Gordo y el Flaco en el ámbito hispano, formaron el dúo cómico más famoso de los años treinta y cuarenta, durante los cuales interpretaron más de cien películas, veintisiete de ellas largometrajes.
Lo formaban los actores Oliver Hardy (el Gordo) y Stan Laurel (el Flaco), estadounidense y británico, respectivamente. Su carrera como pareja se inició en el cine mudo, en los años 1920 y se prolongó hasta la segunda mitad del siglo XX.

UU., 23 de febrero de 1965), fue un actor cómico, escritor y director británico, miembro del famoso dúo cómico El Gordo y el Flaco (junto con Oliver Hardy ), en el que representaba el papel de "el Flaco".
