Dahyabhai Patel (10 November 1905 — 11 August 1973) was the son of Indian leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and a member of the Parliament of India .

Ambalal Dahyabhai Patel, better known as A.D. Patel (13 March 1905 – 1 October 1969), was an Indo-Fijian politician, farmers' leader and founder and leader of the National Federation Party. Patel was uncompromisingly committed to a vision of an independent Fiji, with full racial integration.
C Rajgopalalachari (Rajaji), the last Governor-General of India, in 1970. The Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award, was posthumously awarded to Sardar in 1991, four decades after his death. It was accepted by Bipinbhai Dahyabhai Patel, Sardar’s grandson.
Ambalal Dahyabhai Patel, or ‘A.D.’, as he was universally known, was the greatest leader of the Indo-Fijian community in colonial Fiji and, arguably, one of the country’s most brilliant public intellectuals.
