A Tangled Web is a 1956 British crime novel by Cecil Day-Lewis, written under the pen name of Nicholas Blake. It was one of four stand-alone novels he wrote under the name alongside the Nigel Strangeways detective novels.
When Hugo is arrested for the murder of a policeman in a burglary gone wrong, Daisy doesn't know what to believe. Her husband's life is now in her hands. First published in 1956, A Tangled Web is an intelligent, off-beat crime thriller.
