The Singer and the Song is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Labi Siffre, released in 1971, by Pye International. All songs written and performed by Labi Siffre. Musical Directors were Gordon Beck and John Bell. The album was recorded at Chappell Studios and IBC Studios and was produced by Labi Siffre and Ian Green.

Claudius Afolabi Siffre (born 25 June 1945), better known as Labi Siffre (/ ˈ l æ. b i s ɪ f r i / LAB-ee SIF-ree), is a British singer, songwriter and poet. Siffre released six albums between 1970 and 1975, and four between 1988 and 1998.
