  3. John de Vere, 16th Earl of Oxford (1516 – 3 August 1562) married first Dorothy Neville, daughter of Ralph Neville, 4th Earl of Westmorland, and married second Margery Golding. He had issue with both wives. His daughter Frances de Vere, by Hans Holbein the Younger, c. 1535.
