The Chieftains. The Chieftains are a traditional Irish folk band formed in Dublin in 1962, by Paddy Moloney, Seán Potts and Michael Tubridy. Their sound, which is almost entirely instrumental and largely built around uilleann pipes, has become synonymous with traditional Irish music.
Michael Tubridy joined Crescent Communities in 2013 and currently serves as Senior Managing Director. Michael has been responsible for leading over $2.0 billion in multifamily and mixed-use investment throughout the southeastern U.S.
Michael Tubridy was born in 1935 in Kilrush, Co. Clare. He plays tin whistle, flute and concertina and is also a step dancer. He was a member of Ceoltoirí Chualann, led by Seán Ó Riada, and was a founder member of The Chieftains. He also played with the Castle Céilí Band.
