Miles of Aisles is the first live album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, released in 1974 on Asylum Records. It is a double album documenting her concerts in support of the Court and Spark album with her backing band for the tour, the L.A. Express.
Robben Lee Ford (born December 16, 1951) is an American blues, jazz, and rock guitarist. He was a member of the L.A. Express and Yellowjackets and has collaborated with Miles Davis , Joni Mitchell , George Harrison , Larry Carlton , Rick Springfield , Little Feat , and Kiss .

Neither a fusion fan nor Mitchell devotee, Ford accepted the challenge, which yielded Mitchell’s live Miles Of Aisles album and more studio and touring work – with George Harrison. (At the time of the ex-Beatle’s 1974 tour, Ford was 22.)
Even "Woodstock," which is now something of a hoary hippy anthem, gets a clever revitalization through Robben Ford's biting guitar work that constructs a personality of its own as the concert builds. Most of the new readings are superb.

The live double album, Miles of Aisles, immortalizes these six months of harmony between progressive folk and electric jazz. Robben Ford fondly remembers this tour, and places Joni Mitchell “at the same level of eclecticism and breadth of spirit as a John Coltrane or a Miles Davis” (Uncut, number 199).
