Chicago College of Performing Arts. Comprising the Music Conservatory , the Theatre Conservatory, and the Interdisciplinary Conservatory, CCPA trains world-class musicians and theatre professionals in the heart of one of the country's most creatively accomplished cities.
The Music Conservatory is organized into departments coordinated by the director. Curricula with a major in piano, string (including guitar), wind, or percussion instruments, voice, orchestral studies, composition, music education, and jazz studies lead to the degree of Bachelor of Music.
The relationship between the two is much like that of the Eastman School of Music and The University of Rochester or the College-Conservatory of Music and the University of Cincinnati. The college has two divisions: the Music Conservatory and the Theatre Conservatory .

The Music Conservatory was founded in 1867 as the Chicago Musical College, a conservatory whose primary focus was the intensive and rigorous training of young men and women preparing for careers as professional musicians.
Music Conservatory. The students of CCPA study in the midst of Chicago's invigorating arts scene, and acquire additional experience through internships with nationally-known music companies.
