Michel Butor ( French: [miʃɛl bytɔʁ]; 14 September 1926 – 24 August 2016) was a French poet, novelist, teacher, essayist, art critic and translator. [1] [2] Life and work. Michel Marie François Butor was born in Mons-en-Barœul, a suburb of Lille, the third of seven children.
Letters from the Antipodes is a part of a larger work called Boomerang in which each of seven interwoven sections was printed in different coloured typefaces representing various countries. Letters from the Antipodes is in red ink (making it quite difficult to read comfortably).
All I Wanted was Love is about true life experiences. It is about a girl, Destiny, who searches for love in all the wrong places. The death of her mother at an early age, combined with a lack of a father, fuels her frantic quest for love and acceptance.
