Time for Love: The Best of Julie London is a vocal jazz music boxset / compilation recording by JULIE LONDON released in 1991 on CD, LP/Vinyl and/or cassette.
While Julie London wasn't in the same class as Sarah Vaughan, Rosemary Clooney or Ella, she was as good as most pop singers. This album is good enough to probably stay in my collection, but I wish the recording levels song to song had been better controlled.
Rhino Records did good work choosing some fine songs here from Julie`s 1955 hit "Cry Me A River" to "My Heart Belongs To Daddy","I Surrender Dear","In The Still Of The Night","Invitation To The Blues",and "Easy Street".She did`nt have a strong voice like Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan,or Billie Holiday`s bluesy phrasing but her voice still gr...
