Inner Experience (French: L'expérience intérieure) is a 1943 book by the French intellectual Georges Bataille. His first lengthy philosophical treatise, it was followed by Guilty (1944) and On Nietzsche (1945).

Epistemologically, we now have two potential perspectives for knowing the world. We have our senses and sense experience to experience reality from the outside: outer experience, as the dominant mode of science. But we now also have a second mode, inner experience, the mode of contemplative, meditative, or inner experience.
