Dweezil Zappa (born Ian Donald Calvin Euclid Zappa; September 5, 1969) is an American rock guitarist and occasional actor. He is the son of musical composer and performer Frank Zappa . Exposed to the music industry from an early age, Zappa developed a strong affinity for playing the guitar and producing music.

Dweezil Zappa (September 5, 1969) is Frank and Gail Zappa 's second child and oldest son. He is the brother of Moon Zappa, Ahmet Zappa and Diva Zappa. Dweezil was named after one of Gail's toes. He was originally named IAN (after Ian Underwood) DONALD (after Don Van Vliet) CALVIN (after Cal Schenkel) EUCLID (after Euclid James Sherwood ).

Dweezil Zappa practically has a bunch of friends over to play here with Nuno Bettencourt on guitar and Josh Freese banging drums (Freese played for Blues Saraceno on “Hairpick”). I’m a fan of Dweezil’s guitar playing primarily because he had Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai hanging around his house a lot, but this release causes me to be a fair-weather fan at most.
