Terry Luttrell (born 1947 Champaign, Illinois) is an American rock singer/musician best known as lead vocalist for both REO Speedwagon (1968–1972) and Starcastle (1973–1979).
In early 1968, Terry Luttrell became lead singer and Bob Crownover joined as the guitarist, replacing Matt after he graduated.

1 de nov. de 2021 · After gigging for a while, with Matt, Blair, and Grazter doing vocals, lead singer Terry Luttrell joined in 1968. Soon after, the band membership began to rotate quite a bit. Doughty and Gratzer were constants, but the bass and guitar slots changed frequently.
Formed in 1967, the group originally included drummer and backing vocalist Alan Gratzer, guitarist and lead vocalist Joe Matt, bassist and backing vocalist Mike Blair, and keyboardist Neal Doughty. [1] Matt left early the next year after graduating from school, with Terry Luttrell taking his place on lead vocals. [2]
1971-72. REO’s debut is far removed from the classic sound of the likes of ‘Keep On Loving You’. With the band fronted by vocalist Terry Luttrell, the bulk of the music veers on big hard rock and bluesy sounds, rather more Grand Funk Railroad than Steve Perry era Journey or mega-selling REO.
