Mason Science College was a university college in Birmingham, England, and a predecessor college of the University of Birmingham. Founded in 1875 by industrialist and philanthropist Sir Josiah Mason, the college was incorporated into the University of Birmingham in 1900.

Mason Science College was the first institution in Birmingham to provide degree-level teaching. It opened to students in October 1880 but it had been founded in 1870 by the industrialist Sir Josiah Mason. The foundation stone for the college building was laid on 23 February 1875, Mason's birthday.
Mason Science College. Ceiling of the Aston Webb building. In 1870, Sir Josiah Mason, the Birmingham industrialist and philanthropist, who made his fortune in making key rings, pens, pen nibs and electroplating, drew up the Foundation Deed for Mason Science College. [3] .
Mason was the first university in the world to offer graduate degrees in conflict resolution. Today, we continue to lead in research, teaching and real-world practice.
