  4. Ursula Mommens, born 1908, studied at the Royal College of Art, under William Staite Murray. Her first pottery was in Kent, but after her marriage to Julian Trevelyan in 1935 she moved to London. After the unfortunate destruction of her kiln by the Luftwaffe Ursula worked with Cardew at both Winchcombe and Wenford Bridge Since 1960 she has been at South Heighton, Newhaven, Sussex.

She learned her craft under William Staite-Murray back in the 1920s and later apprenticed to Michael Cardew before setting up her own pottery in East Sussex.
