Margaret of Brandenburg-Salzwedel (German: Margareta, Polish: Małgorzata; born ca. 1270 – died 1 May 1315) was a German noblewoman member of the House of Ascania and by her two marriages Duchess of Greater Poland (during 1293–1296), Queen of Poland (during 1295–1296) and Duchess of Saxe-Lauenburg (during 1302–1308).
Margaret of Brandenburg (1511 – after 3 November 1577) was a Princess of Brandenburg by birth and by marrying first a duke of Pomerania and later a prince of Anhalt . Life. Margaret was the youngest daughter of the Elector Joachim I of Brandenburg (1484–1535) from his marriage to Elisabeth (1485–1555), daughter of King John of Denmark .
Name variations: Margaret von Brandenburg. Born around 1450; died in 1489; daughter of Catherine of Saxony (1421–1476) and Frederick II (1413–1471), elector of Brandenburg (r. 1440–1470, abdicated); married Bogislav X also known as Boleslav X (b. 1454), duke of Pomerania, on September 20, 1477.
The feudal designation of the Margraviate of Brandenburg ended with the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire in 1806, which made the Hohenzollerns de jure as well as de facto sovereigns over it. It was replaced with the Province of Brandenburg in 1815 following the Napoleonic Wars.
