Sir William St Loe (1518–1565) was a 16th-century English soldier, politician and courtier. He was the third husband of Bess of Hardwick , his second wife. His official positions included Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard , Chief Butler of England and Member of Parliament for Derbyshire .

Her third husband brought her even greater riches than Cavendish. He also provided an entrée into the Elizabethan household, of which he was a member.

After Sir William’s sudden death in 1557 she married her third husband, Sir William St Loe, one of Queen Elizabeth’s courtiers, and herself soon became an intimate friend of the queen. When St Loe died suddenly in 1565 he left everything to Bess.
